about
My first and only song poem! The lyrics were written by 12-year-old Tim Conklin in 1981 with the intent to send them to a company to have it set to music, but he was unable to afford it. some 40 years later, I have done just that!

OBJECTS IN MIRROR (ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR)
By Tim Conklin (age 12, c.1981)
I was taking a drive in my brand new car
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
I was going 80, but I didn’t get very far
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
I heard a siren, saw some flashing lights
I knew it’d be one of those horrible nights
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror
I got a ticket, but now I’m feeling fine
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Now I’m driving 90 on Interstate 69
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Next thing I knew there was a screech and a flash
I just started a 20-car crash!
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror
[Instrumental Bridge]
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror
Now I’m in a hospital with tubes up my nose
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Guess that’s the way my life story goes
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
I was scared; “I’m sorry,” I cried
But it was too late …
I’d already died
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Objects in mirror

This is an incredibly beautiful album. Very relaxing and nice to listen to for meditation and relaxation. Pierre is very talented, I got his Helianthe CD from EBay a few years ago. I don't regret it. Miss Mei
Despite its themes of isolation and loneliness, Caroline White's latest batch of folk-pop confessionals is an LP brimming with confidence. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2019
Strange but also strangely warm electronic music from slugabed mixes detailed sound design with some really weird sounds. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 21, 2021
